Day 1 : Evaluation of Potential Profession

Awareness of various options in detail throwing light on the job opportunities attributes required, future scope, etc. Mavik covers different unconventional options such as Liberal arts, biotechnology, cinematography, direction, etc too.

Day 3 : Speaking your Heart Out

The first two days are also given to research the various career options of their interest as discussed on Day 1(this will help us to plan a better education counseling strategy).

Importance of Statements of Purpose

Statements of Purpose, SOP is an important document when you apply for universities abroad. It is believed that these personal statements are your chance to stand out in front of the admissions committee. The universities in the US, UK, Canada, and Australia require the student to submit an SOP for most of their graduate programs. While universities in Germany require a ‘Letter of Motivation’, a similar document. However, most undergraduate programs expect personal essays or statements specified by various institutions.

  • What is SAT?

    The Scholastic Assessment Test famously known as the SAT is a standardised test widely used by universities over the world to offer admission to students based partly on these scores.

    What is ACT?

    American College Testing is an examination widely use to apply to universities in USA for undergraduate education. It has its similarities and differences compared to the SATs

    Sections Reading, Writing and, language. Maths with Calculator. Maths with no Calculator Essay (Optional) English, Maths, Reading, Science, and Writing (Optional)
    Reading The question in SAT follows a chronological order. It consists of 52 questions conducted for 65 mins. The Reading questions are asked randomly and consist of 75 questions to be finished in 45 mins.
    Writing The essay questions need to be read and analyzed using evidence and reasoning. Personal opinions should be avoided. The essay passage in ACT requires to be read and analyzed from different perspectives to be formed and written using opinions.
    Maths with calculator This section consists of 38 questions to be done in 55 mins and students have the liberty to use a calculator. The section consists of 60 questions to be done in 60 mins; giving a min to solve one question.
    Maths without calculator This section contains 20 questions and should be finished in 25 mins. N/A
